The Nail Polish Junkie Animal Collection 2013 Review

Tonight, I have for you 3 polishes from The Nail Junkie's Animal Collection 2013.   I really enjoy swatching this collection.  The polishes went on very smooth and I used 2 coats with each polish.  I was worried about getting the larger glitter polish pieces on my nails (as with any polish that uses these type glitters), but I found that shaking the bottle thoroughly helped. One coat of top coat was used.

This is Peacock and I have to say it's my favorite.  It is a combination
of gold micro glitters combined with different sizes of blue/teal glitters in
a dark green base.  Coverage is fantastic in just 2 coats.

This picture shows why it's my favorite.

This is Ladybug, a bright red polish with black round glitters.
It is such a cute polish.  This is 2 coats and I may have move one or
two glitters that went slightly off the edge of my nail, but that's it.
This would be a great polish to combine with a Ladybug Nail Art mani.

This is Zebra, a white cream base with black bar glitter.  This is a very
fun polish and also could be used in many different nail art mani's.
This is two coats and I love how on the 2nd coat it slightly covers
the first to give it depth.  I had no problems with getting the glitters
on my fingers with this polish either.

The Nail Junkie Animal Collection 2013
L-R Peacock, Ladybug and Zebra

There are 5 more polishes in this collection, they are Fish, Snake, Tiger, Bee and Flamingo.

If you would like to purchase, you can find these and more in the Esty Store for $10 each  Thank you Aleta for letting me review your polishes.  Let me know what you think about them and which one is your favorite.

Butter London's The Old Bill Review by Marcia from The Beauty Info Zone

I’m Marcia and I’m a nail polish fanatic. There are two problems with this – 1) I can’t really do my own nails, I’m a left handed klutz and 2) I’m quickly running out of room to store my collection. For years I wore pink or red polish. I was astounded when black and dark purples were introduced. I kept wondering how people could wear those shades. Slowly but surely I became converted and went to the dark side. Now my polishes range from those original sweet pinks to the deepest darkest shades with colors like Butter London’s The Old Bill in between.

The Old Bill is not a shade I’d ever had been attracted to in the old days but now I’m crazy about it. On Butter London’s website it’s described as a burnished copper with an antique patina. On my nails I see mostly a copper shade but it’s not a shiny penny copper. It has more interest than that. Sometimes I see a lot of gold in the polish. Sometimes I see a touch of pink. It has a touch of shimmer yet I’d never describe it as a shimmer polish. Nor would I describe it as a metallic polish even though it verges on being so. Instead it has an “old coin” appearance to it.

I love that Butter London has a dictionary to describe how they name their polishes. Here’s what they say about The Old Bill: “Brit slang for the police, also known as "coppers". While I’m not interested in the ‘coppers’ coming after me, if they just want to stop me and admire my copper patina nails, I’ll take that. Butter London polishes are now $15. I bought mine during an ULTA BOGO event.

If you are looking for an almost metallic, almost shimmer polish that applies like a dream without brushstrokes then you should consider Butter London The Old Bill as a choice. In spite of very little room left for more polish, Butter London is worth finding the space.

*Marcia is half of the blogging team at Beauty Info Zone (http://www.beautyinfozone.com). As she freely admits she loves polish but she will also admit that she loves everything beauty related and goes a bit overboard. She’d love if you came by her blog to check out her nails and what else she can share with you.

Thank you so much Marcia!  Hope everyone enjoyed this as much as I did!

Guest Post from Rocio at Makeup Like Graffiti - EOTD

    Hello, hello!

Let me start by introducing myself: My name is Rocio (but my friends call me Pepi), and I'm a Chilean makeup-obsessed gamer. I first started doing my makeup about 4 or 5 years ago and haven't stopped since! If you're interested, you can check my blog, Makeup Like Graffiti.

Today I'd like to share this look with you and the products I used to create it.

I love duochromatic and contrasting shades, so I figured I'd pair them up, and I really liked the result. I think it's quite a pretty and fun look, suitable for a fun night out, using color without getting too carried away.

I used a pair of corner lashes to finish the look. You could also go a bit more dramatic, bringing the colors up higher, maybe blending a lilac eyeshadow as a transitional color and adding a pair of full strip falsies.

And here's the list of goodies!

Beauty From The Earth Eye and Lip Primer
Beauty From The Earth loose eyeshadow - "Very Vanilla"
Victorian Disco loose eyeshadow - "Lorien", "Emperor"
Shiro loose eyeshadow - "Zora", "Puzzle Cube"
Darling Girl loose eyeshadow - "Midnight Sea"
Evil Shades loose eyeshadow - "Glooming"
Antoinette's Revolution loose eyeshadow - "Duchesse"
Maybelline Expert Eyes kohl pencil - "Black"
Beauty From The Earth Indelible Gel Liner - "Black Cherry"
Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express mascara - "Blackest Black"
Ardell Accents false lashes - #301

And that's it! I hope you liked it.

    P.-

Thank you Pepi for doing a guest for me!  I love the outcome.

    Press Release: The JuveRest Pillow

Have you heard about sleep wrinkles and how to prevent them? The JuveRest pillow, which was designed by a leading plastic surgeon specializing in facial aesthetics, is designed to prevent sleep wrinkles and improve your sleep. Sleep wrinkles are different that other types and can’t be treated with Botox. I’ve attached some high res / 300dpi images and a quick blurb is below (the link has more info as well). Suggested retail is $180. www.juverest.com | 866-216-1072.

Dr. Goesel Anson, a leading plastic surgeon who specializes in facial aesthetics, has invented a new beauty product that is fueling discussion on sleep wrinkles.  Formed when you face is compressed/distorted against your pillow, sleep wrinkles are distinctly different from expression wrinkles like crow’s feet and smile lines and cannot be treated with Botox.  Dr. Anson has spent more than five years engineering JuveRest, which is an architecturally designed pillow that literally suspends your face in the side sleeping positions and encourages back sleep. Photos, video and info here at http://www.multivu.com/mnr/62283-juveRest-the-sleep-wrinkle-pillow | www.juverest.com.
