Milani bronzer XL in Radiant Tan Review

Press Sample
Hi Everyone!

Today's post is a review of the new Milani bronzer XL - All Over Glow.  I've never been a big fan of bronzer's until this year because I always felt they looked so fake on me.  Sometimes they were just too dark no matter how light-handed I applied and more times than not, the color was just off.

This is a large size bronzer in 03 Radiant Tan.  You can find it at select drug stores or online at MilaniCosmetics.com for $9.99 for .42oz.

How to use and Ingredients.  Milani Cosmetics are Cruelty-Free.

A 2-in-1 bronzer, matte and shimmer, perfect for all-over color! The oil-free, silky-soft powder formula feels luxurious on skin, with a fresh and light fragrance.

I am really enjoying wearing this bronzer.  I think it looks natural on me.  It's long wearing without turning orange like some bronzers do.

What are your experiences with bronzers?  Do you use them?  Have you tried the Milani Bronzers?  I'd love to hear your thoughts, so please leave me a comment.

Press Release - Zoya Nail Polish: Big3Free from its inception from Nail It! Magazine

Remember, the Earth Day Promo ends April 26th.   All polishes except the Pixie Dust Collections is $4 each.

MEDIA RELEASE: Nail It Magazine Features Zoya Nail Polish online

Why They Love Zoya…

“As if the gorgeous shades and lovely shape of the lacquer bottles weren’t enough for us to go gaga over Zoya nail polishes, this nail polish brand was the pioneer of the “3 Free” effort.

Three-free means that three ingredients are absent from the nail polish formula: toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DBP).

Zoya was free of toluene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin since its inception in the 1990's. It then went on to remove DBP from its formulation in 2002. What’s more, in 2007, Zoya became camphor-free as well.

In 2006, after feeling the heat from health groups and shoppers, a handful of brands, including OPI and Essie, removed the “toxic trio” from their formulas, and many companies, such as Butter London and Sally Hansen, followed suit.

But unlike those brands, Zoya embraced the “3 Free” ideology from its inception, a decade before there was a concerted public awareness campaign!”

In fact, Zoya Nail Polish remains committed to providing a healthier choice in beauty with a formula that is also free of formaldehyde resin and camphor, making each and every long-wearing, beautiful shade Big5Free.

Milani GrandIssimo Lashes Incredible Volume Mascara Review

Press Sample

Milani Grandissimo Lashes Incredible Volume Mascara in 107 Black

Hi Everyone,
My name is Jayme, I am Jeanie's 19 year old daughter and tonight is my first blog post.  Since I go through so many tubes of mascara, I picked the Milani GrandIssimo Lashes Incredible Volume Mascara in 107 Black as my first review.  I fell in love with this mascara from the first time I used it.

The brush and volumizing formula creates a false lash effect.  It is a long-wearing, smear-proof and clump-free formula.  It is Paraben-free and Cruelty-free.  The applicator brush took a little bit of getting use to since it is so full.  I found that this mascara lived up to it's claims and I received many compliment while wearing it. My picture was taken after 5 hours of work.

Since it is very affordable at $5.49 for .30oz, I will purchase this product for my future use.  You can find this product at milanicosmetics.com or in a drug store setting.

I hope you liked my first review, please leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried this mascara or if you will in the future.

Light It Up Blue Day for Autism Awareness - Color Club Over The Moon

Press Sample

2013 Color Club Halo Hues - Over The Moon

A group of us bloggers got together and decided to do a link up for Light It Up Blue Day for Autism Awareness with our blue manicures and/or nail art.  I have experienced the joy of teaching Autistic children part-time as a Substitute Teacher and full-time as a One on One Special Needs Teacher.  I can say it is one of the most personally rewarding jobs that I have ever had knowing that I went home everyday after making a difference in their lives.  It is not an easy job and my heart and praise goes out to the teachers who continue to do this 5 days a week, even more so to the parents who take care of their Autistic children 24/7 for a lifetime.

I decided to use my Color Club Over The Moon holographic polish from the new 2013 Halo Hues collection.  This color is described by Color Club as the Northern Lights to your fingertips with colorful, iridescent shades that will brighten up the darkest of nights!  To me it is a linear holo that is neither pale or medium blue, just somewhere in between.  This photo was taken under my Ott LIte Lamp since I missed the sun today.  It shows up more holographic in person than under artificial light.  I used a base coat, two thin coats of color and I did not add a top coat. The formula was perfect for this type of polish which made the application smooth and easy.

The Color Club Halo Hues polishes can be purchased from their website directly for $10 each. Have you tried any of the new holo polishes that have been released this year?  If so, which one is your favorite?
