Christmas Lights - Nail Art with Zoya Matte Polishes

Tonight I am bringing you one of my first Christmas manicures.  This was achieved with 5 of the Zoya Matte polishes that I have had for a long time but had never used much.  I copied an idea that my friend Jen from Jen's Painted Tips had done.  I have not been posting much due to my Dogs having their puppies for the year and some sickness, but I hope I'm back now to do at least daily posts, thanks to my readers for sticking with me!

Now remember, I'm not the best at nail art and sometimes it goes better than other times and too, I'm just learning about some of it.  This is the finished results, in the middle of my mani I had to go take care of the puppies and messed a few fingers up, but touched it up instead of starting over...so please forgive the flaws.

The polishes I used are from Zoya's Matte Collections.  Left to Right are
Veruschka, Posh, Savita, Loredana and Dovima.

My base coat is Zoya Loredana and I used a nail art brush and Zoya Dovima
to do the light cord.  I have a whole set of nail art brushes and I think one of the
longer skinnier ones would have worked better, but I need to work more with
them to get use to them.

The Christmas lights was made using dotting tools from ebay and the
colors used were Zoya's Veruschka, Posh and Savita.

I love using Zoya and all their polishes.  It's a little harder to use the matte polishes at first but once you get the hang of it they go on smooth and flawless.  My problem is I can't stop rubbing my nails, I love the feel of the finish.

You can purchase Zoya from www.Zoya.com or in some retail stores.  They retail for $8 each and Zoya is wonderful about doing specials and sales.  What do you think about my above mani?  Have any ideas of what else you would like to see for Christmas?  All comments are read and I try to answer any questions.  Again, thank you so much for staying with me, you are appreicated!

Puppies and Polish - What I have been doing!

I know it's been a week or over since I've blogged and if you have been paying attention you know we had 2 litters of puppies in September.  At that time I had lots of great people doing guest blogs to make sure my followers didn't get bored and also get to enjoy some nail art that I'm not able to do yet and some I'm sure I'll never be able to do :)

Anyway, it's getting to that time where the puppies are going to start going to their new homes and I've had my hands full.  Since we only breed our dogs once a year at the most it's easy to forget how hectic things can get.  I totally take care of my puppies and dogs like I would my own children.  Since they are long haired, I have to bathe and groom them quite often...not so bad if you only have a few but with so many they get dirty fast and with future puppy families coming to look or visit I try to keep them clean.

My nails have actually survived all this so far, last week I did take them down quite short and I'm keeping OPI's Nail Envy for Sensitive and Peeling Nails on them constantly.  The worst part is trying to keep my hands moisturized with washing them so much, but OPI AvoJuice is working quite well.  For my cuticles I alternate several times a day between OPI's Avoplex Cuticle Oil which is a brush on and Julep's Cuticle Oil that is a roll on and I totally love the scent and ease of using it.

So I could keep talking all day since I haven't blogged in a week...but I know everyone really wants to see the puppy pictures.  I should be back to my normal blogging by Sunday or Monday.  If anyone would like to do a guest blog for me, I would so welcome it at this time, just email me.

Here's a link to my puppy website if you want to follow or look at it in the future and it tells you more about them if you are interested in them.  Website/Blog is Celestial Havanese and I also have a FaceBook Page for them Celestial Havanese.  Check back here on Sunday, I may have a surprise for everyone!

Chloe's Female #3 was featured on Couponing To Disney's Facebook and their web site Couponing To Disney on November 11th because she has a Hidden Mickey on her back.

What do you think about them?  Aren't they cute?  I love their eyelashes.  Remember come back on Sunday for a possible announcement :)

Julep Chloe - From the Holiday Collection

Tonight I wanted to bring you another one of my Julep polishes that I received from their Maven Referral Program, this is Chloe!  I don't think I did this polish justice but I'm learning my new camera and still need to put my professional light box up.  Chloe is described as a Charcoal base with a holiday sparkle in a vibrant magenta.  I think I now own their whole Holiday collection for this year.  I used 2 coats of Seche Clear to prevent staining, 2 coats of color and a coat of Seche Vite on top.  The polish was a little thicker than I was use to with Julep, but I was able to adjust my application for it to work out.  I think I will add a little thinner before I use it again.  All the shots below look close to each other, but some were taken in sunlight and some under a lamp.  You can click to enlarge.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Maven program so far.  If you are interested you can give it a try and get their first box which is over $60 worth of product for $5 by using the Promo Code of FB.  You can always give it a try and if it's not for you then cancel at anytime, do a shelf pull if you don't like the colors they offer in your monthly box, have it sent to a friend as a present or put your subscription on hold for a month.  If you have been on the fence about ordering from them because of their initial start up glitches, now is the time to try it.  Tomorrow I will be bringing you my November Julep Maven Box.  Give yourself the December box as a present to yourself, you are worth $5!  This would also make a great gift for a Secret Santa or the other women in your life.  If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them for you!

Ozotic Pro 502 - MultiChrome Nail Polish - Picture Heavy

Today I am bringing you a polish from Australia that my friend Sarah Claire from the blog Shatter Me Claire  sent to me.  We recently did a swap and she sent me a whole lot of love and polish that I had no idea about until now!  This is Ozotic's #502 Multi Chrome polish.  I think their bottles have changed shape but the formula is still wonderful.  I used a base of Seche Clear, and since this Multi Chrome Color is a little sheer, I used 3 coats and a top coat of Seche Vite.  Application was smooth and even.  Hopefully by my next manicures I will have my light box set up and can bring you all the depths of colors like this.  This polish is described as a Multi Chrome nail polish that shifts from red to green to gold to pink to red.  You can click on the pictures to enlarge and I posted a lot of pictures trying to show you the the different facets of this polish.

For my followers in the US, we now have a distributor of this and many other very sought after International polishes.  I'm just now getting to know her a little, her name is Leah Ann and she has a facebook at Llarowe and a website http://shop.llarowe.com/main.sc.  From everything I have heard, she is a joy to work with and their Customer Service is #1.  What do you think of this polish?  What International polish are you wanting to try and haven't yet?  Comments are always read and appreciated and questions answered!
