Spring 2013 Zoya Lovely Collection Review

Tonight, I am bringing to you the Spring 2013 Zoya Lovely Collection.  I sat here and looked at this collection for weeks, wanting to swatch it so bad.  Usually, I like to get the new collections sent to me for review out to you asap.  But, my middle fingernail had broken down into the nail bed twice recently, it still feels weak and sore at this point.  You can still see it's a little shorter and I filed my other nails down as close as I could.  I actually do like the shorter look at times.

Have I said yet how much I love this collection?  As much as I like the darker/jeweltone colors, I am knocked out by the lighter pastel colors that come out in the Springtime.

Piaf - described by Zoya as a forsythia yellow metallic, it was a
custom runway shade created for fashion designed Zang Toi.  I
used 2 easy to apply coats in this swatch and it has that micro
shimmer that Gei Gei and Julie has.  This is sure to be a
popular Spring color.

Gei Gei - a soft baby pink with micro-shimmers.  This formula
was a little on the thinner side, but very easy to work with.  I
used 3 coats in my swatch.

Julie - another of the pale pastel colors with the micro-shimmer.
Julie's formula was a little thinner and it took 3 coats to be opaque.

Blu - a beautiful baby blue creme, formula was a little thick and
the first coat applied with streaks, but it evened out with the 2nd coat.

Neely - a pale green creme.  This polish applied a lot like Blu
and Magnolia.  2 coats to be opaque.

Jacqueline - Zoya describes this color as a magnolia nude creme.
This color and description brings back so many childhood memories
of all the Magnolia trees from my parents home place,
magnolia is a perfect way to describe this color.  This one was tricky to
apply, it's a little thick and I ended up using 3 coats to achieve opaqueness.

L-R Piaf, Gei Gei, Julie, Blu, Neely & Jacqueline

Have you ordered this collection yet?  What is your favorite shade?  Zoya is available in fine salons, Ulta and online from Zoya.com for $8 each or $48 for the the complete set.

Ghirardelli Chocolates Review - Just In Time For Your Valentine!

After beauty products, my second love is Chocolate.  So, when I had a chance to partner with Ghirardelli Chocolates as an affiliate, I jumped at it.   If you think about it, don't you think those two things go together?  I would love to get chocolates and beauty items as a gift for Valentine's Day or any day!  I've even thought about starting a Chocolate blog.

I found this in my mail a few days ago.  It was packaged like
so many of my beauty boxes.

Inside was a 3.5oz bar of the new Milk & Strawberry and
a small box that contained 2 squares each (.375oz) of Dark & Strawberry,
Dark Chocolate with 60% Cacao and Sublime White - Vanilla Dream,
which is all natural.

A card telling about the chocolates.

Yum, I was eating while I was taking pictures!

The individual squares.

I'm not a big white chocolate fan, but I definitely had no problem eating these.

Right now Ghirardelli Chocolates has some specials going on for Valentine's and for the whole month of February.

GlossyBox - The Man Repeller box - January 2013

This months GlossyBox is a special themed, The Man Repeller's Winter survival kit.  I expected to open the shipping box and see the usual pink box, but this month's is a silver glossy box.

Inside was 7 products instead of the usual 5.  There are 2 full-sized (well almost, the tarte cheek tint is .14oz, full size is .19oz), 3 luxury sized samples and 2 smaller samples.

I will review some of the products individually in the coming week, so check back.

Estee Lauder - Sumptous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara
Fresh - Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum
Le Metier De Beaute - Replenishing Daily Serum
Narciso Rodriguez - For Her
OPI - "Can't Let Go" Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer (Full Size)
Sebastian Professional - Potion 9
tarte - Achiote cheek tint (almost full size) this is a pre-release product due out in March 2013

You can click on this photo to enlarge for details of each product.

This is one of many beauty/nail boxes I receive each month.  I have to say I thoroughly enjoy it most months. Sometimes if I receive a product that I already have or things I normally don't use, then it can be a little disappointing, but that happens very seldom.  I just love the thrill of opening them each month.  Last month I bought 2 because they ran some specials.  This month I will receive 2 again, one that I bought and one to review. I forgot and didn't cancel in time, but maybe there will be different items in the 2nd one, if not...I feel a giveaway coming up.

If you would like to subscribe to GlossyBox it is $21 per month, 3 months for $60 or 12 months for $220.  What are your thoughts on subscribing to beauty boxes?

    Relogy Rinse-Free Foam Acne Treatment

Relogy (prounced rel-oh-jee) is a 2 step, very easy to use acne treatment.  It is 100% vegan, 95-100% natural and 100% benzoyl-peroxide free.  So with that said, I actually let my 19 year old daughter Jayme review the products.  I don't let her put just anything on her face.  Relogy's anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects work quickly, reducing redness and rosacea too.  I think I will try it next, sounds like it will be very helpful for my skin too.  I'll update the post and let you know how it goes.

Jayme has beautiful skin, but she does have acne breakouts.  She has tried many products from drug store to prescription.  Most leave her face red, dry and flaky or they are complicated and time consuming to use, so she gives up. She is on week 4 using Relogy and she loves the products and her face looks great and is acne free.

Step 1 - Relogy Dual Action Treatment Foam - This product is rinse-free and applied to areas of your face, shoulders or back where you are experiencing acne, let dry.  It works to kill the bacteria that causes acne.  You can also use this as a cleanser by applying it to wet skin in a circular motion, rinse and pat dry.  This product has a nice smell to it and leaves your face feeling great.

Step 2 - Relogy Skin Balancing Lotion - This product nourishes and hydrates the skin.  Just apply a small pea-sized amount.

Free Bonus - Relogy Targeted Spot Treatment - This goes straight on existing blemishes to further boost your results. Use the roller ball applicator directly on the blemish, avoiding the surrounding skin.  You can use this product twice daily.

The Relogy program is available online at RelogyNow.com for $49.95, it is a 60 day supply and has a money back guarantee.

What has been your experience been with acne treatments?

Milani Fast Dry One Coat Nail Lacquers

Tonight, I have for you 3 swatches of the Milani Fast Dry One Coat Nail Lacquers.  I really like the ability to pick up a polish at the last moment, polish my nails in one coat and it be opaque.  Then, run out the door and not worry about the polish drying.  The application of this type of polish is a little tricky, it works best to use the 3 stroke method and not go back over any spot.

I have also been told that the Milani Fast Dry polishes are great to stamp with and also to do tape mani's.  They come in a wide range of colors, but I picked the 3 that I thought most everyone would wear.

    Milani White On The Spot

    Milani Rapid Cherry

    Milani Black Swift

Have you tried any Milani polishes yet?  If so, which one is your favorite.  I really like a lot of the glitters.

Reviva Labs - All Natural Seaweed Soap

Are you one of those people who feels like they need to use a soap to feel clean?  I know I am, but most soaps are so drying and have harsh chemicals in them.  I was sent Reviva Labs All Natural Seaweed Soap recently for review and I loved it.  I kept it in my shower and really liked the fact that it didn't melt away.  I noticed that it started getting smaller faster and found out that my Husband was using it also.

This soap is made from a pure vegetable base of palm and coconut oils (no animal fats).  The Seaweed grains' scrub action help remove hidden impurities, stimulate circulation and discharge toxins.  I didn't find it drying at all and noticed my skin looked healthier.  Right now it is $4 per bar at RevivaLabs.com.

I've reviewed two of the products above and have 3 more to go, so stay turned to see my thoughts on them.
