The release of the collection follows the debut of the China Glaze® Capitol Colours consumer and beauty trade advertising campaign featuring the story’s Effie Trinket, who is assigned by the Capitol to escort and prepare the Tributes from District 12 for the 74^th Annual Hunger Games.  The ad features the tagline, “What will you be wearing to the opening ceremonies?,” encouraging fans of THE HUNGER GAMES to support their favorite tribute and district by wearing a corresponding shade.  Full-page ads will run in the March issues ofteenVOGUE, People Style Watch and InStyle.

China Glaze® Capitol Colours will be available in early March 2012 at salons and specialty beauty retailers including Sally Beauty Supply and ULTA stores, coinciding with the release of THE HUNGER GAMES in theatres March 23, 2012.  Individual shades retail for $7.  The collection will be available in a 12-piece counter display as well as open stock colors.

Venique B-Ceen B-Gorgeous and Twinkling Glitter

Tonight, I am bringing you a new brand of polish call Venique Nail Lacquer.  It is a professional nail lacquer that is 3-Free.  I absolutely fell in love with this polish and their colors and wish I had purchased more when I saw them.  The colors I used for this mani is B-Ceen B-Gorgeous with an accent nail of Twinkling Glitter.  I used the base coat, 2 coats of color (2 coats of glitter on the ring finger) and then their top coat.  I was able to get 4 full days out of this mani with no chips and very little tip wear, I had to remove it just to do more swatches.  Application was very smooth and dries to a glass like finish.

The blurriness is so that you can see the flash of the glitters which are small and medium hex shaped.

Barielle's Flirtini - Entry for the "Love is at your Fingertips" contest

Wanted to share with my followers my entry for the Barielle's "Love Is At Your Fingertips" contest. I used the color Flirtini for my entry. The name of the polish was perfect for Valentine's Day. This was a hard color to photograph, it's more beautiful in person.   I used 3 thin coats of color, heart and rhinestone stickers, then topped that off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Girly Bits - Razzle Dazzle, Denim Diva and Cosmic Ocean

Tonight I am bringing you swatches of 3 Girly Bit's Polish which is an Independent Nail Polish company. Pam from Girly Bit's makes this polish herself, from creation to packaging. I will bring you more swatches of this wonderful polish in the future, there are many new polishes coming out.  This polish was sent to me for review and my unbiased and honest opinion.

I love the packaging!

Girly Bit's comes in 2 sizes.  A mini and a 15ml bottle.

Razzle Dazzle, I love this polish.  This is 2 coats with Seche Vite on top.

It went on smooth for a glitter. Very holographic.

This is Denim Diva, a deep royal blue, very easy to work with, 2 coats.

One coat of Cosmic Ocean over the Denim Diva.  I wish I could have taken 

pics in the sun, this is beautiful and would look great over any polish.  I wore this 

combination for 4 days.  No chipping and very minimal tip wear.

SoFlaJo's 3 of Pentacles - New Polish Line - The Year Of The Dragon

First of all, I'm back!  Had a few weeks of sickness and not feeling well enough to do my nails.  I did try to keep you entertained with some press releases of new collections.  Please excuse my nails and cuticles, I did not take care of them during this time, also it's easy to get out of practice.   I actually do like the length, but I also like them longer sometimes.  Anyway, on to the real reason of this post.

Congrats to Jody at www.soflajo.com for releasing her new polish collection, The Year Of The Dragon!  She sent me 3 of Pentacles for review.  There are actually 8 polishes in this first collection.  They are listed below with a brief description.  Price is $5 for 5ml bottle plus shipping.  You can get them from her website listed above.

I used Illamasqua Virdian and used 2 coats.  Then I used 1 coat of the Soflajo 3 of Pentacales.  It went on very smooth, it's like a rainbow of very fine sparkles.  I wish we had some sun to show you the true glory of this polish, but I think you will get the idea!
